ICON is looking for a Manager of Testing to support the development of ICON technology and application testing. You will lead a team responsible for the development and execution of test plans from the Technology and Products Teams while also providing testing services for Design Build Projects. Working as a part of the Tech and Products Team, you will be in direct contact with all engineering teams, ensuring proper processes and procedures are executed, controlled and measured along with coordinating with the Building Construction Science teams for print applications testing. This role is based at ICON's Austin, TX location and will report to the VP of Technology and Products. Travel to ICON's job sites may be required to support field tests.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Support the development and implementation of ICON's product testing and print applications infrastructure.
  • Serve as technical expert in the function, operation and capabilities of our technology.
  • Work cross functionally with the Building Construction Science & Design Build Team team to develop test articles along while representing the capabilities of the print suite.
  • Provide the final sign off of the testing schedule and approval of test articles.
  • Manage the testing budget for the department.
  • Manage a team responsible for:Execution of the product testing to inform development and validation of new systems.Development and execution of architectural and compliance testing.Day-to-day operations of equipment.Day-to-day test print operations including scheduling of test print crews.Support scheduling all required PM's on equipment.
  • Schedule future installations with Hardware, Mechanical and Engineering Support Teams.
  • Create test articles and the processes to improve methods and procedures. Ensure technician and operations teams are operating effectively, efficiently and correctly following all safety protocols.
  • Produce test reports, develop test documentation, and organize and deliver team metrics.
  • Deliver the quarter by quarter printer outlook and testing schedule.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5+ years experience in related engineering, product, or technician roles.
  • B.S. in Engineering, or related field.
  • Must have experience operating complex electro-mechanical, fluid, or structural systems.
  • Strong ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to manage several different aspects of a project or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Ablity to manage time efficiently, strict attention to detail.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent communicator; able to understand instructions and communicate effectively.



PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE



  • M.S. in Engineering, or related field, professional certification, or 10+ years experience.
  • Experience in the construction or mechanical industry.
  • Prior experience in nuclear, aerospace, military/defense, construction, or other systems.
