The Senior Corrosion Engineer will perform and review standard and enhanced cathodic protection (CP) assessments in accordance with applicable requirements for clients across the United States. They will be responsible for implementing quality control across all CP projects and programs. They are accountable for handling specific technical aspects of projects and for recognizing inspection, design, and repair requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. (ABET)-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related work experience.
  • A P.E. is preferred but not required.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • NACE CP-3 or CP-4 Certification. CP-4 Certification or ability to gain accreditation within 6 months preferred.
  • Ability to travel
  • Proficiency in performing Close Interval Surveys on pipelines and External Corrosion Direct Assessment surveys on buried CP protected pipelines.
  • Ability to handle field survey equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot cathodic protection systems and make minor repairs
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present cathodic protection and engineering concepts, designs, and data.
  • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to receive and deliver detailed information through written and oral communications.
  • Ability to function at a high level in a fast-paced work environment.
Expected Outcomes:
  • Responsible for the direction, control, and supervision of engineering and/or surveying work to ensure that the work product has been critically examined and evaluated for compliance.
  • Direct the project, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of projects to the client's satisfaction and in compliance with scope of work and quality and professional standards.
  • Ensure that projects are completed in a cost-efficient manner with adherence to budgetary constraints. Provide the client with the best results at the lowest practical cost.
  • Plan and schedule projects ensuring appropriate levels of staffing, contractors, and other necessary resources. Ensure effective use of human and other resources throughout the project.
  • Assist the PM in estimating and tracking project costs, schedules, and deliverables, and reporting on behalf of the PM. Maintain regular and effective two-way communication (verbal and written) with the PM and client, as necessary.
  • Mentor more junior team members, providing guidance and opportunities to build on their existing base of experience and improve their breadth of knowledge.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $93,993-$124,333-$154,570
