Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Center Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned retail areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible throughout the store, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication to guests and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail area and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the location.
• Work closely with store staff and visitors to address questions and provide assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Complete required reports and logs documenting security-related activities and incidents during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid guard card or security license issued by the state, county, or city is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
