As a Security Officer - Government Site Patrols NY in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for all. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols on foot throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or unusual occurrences to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Complete accurate and timely written reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed in response to incidents at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Ability to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
