Perform troubleshooting and wiring, verification, on complex transformer-rated metering installations including Wholesale/Transmission deliveries and Plant metering. Perform Interchange Tie-Testing and witness testing with other electric utilities. Obtain date from metering equipment such as load profile date. Perform metering material handling duties.Basic/Required Contributions: 
 Desired Qualifications:Associate or higher degree from an accredited tech school or college in electronics engineering technology, electrical engineering technology, computer engineering technology or communications technology. OR have 3-5 years prior field work experience relevant to job description or comparable work experienceValid Driver's LicenseEffective Written and verbal communications skills necessary for customer and team interaction.Knowledge of basic/electrical principles and demonstrated proficiency in basic math skillsFamiliarity with basic computer operations and able to run common application programs such as Microsoft Office Products.Ability to pass background screening to become NERCI-CIP compliant 
 Working Conditions:Prior experience with electrical schematics, electrical troubleshooting and installationsFamiliarity with watt-hour metering and associated equipment including installing, testing, troubleshooting and programming of meters.Knowledge of Interchange Tie-Testing, Wholesale/Transmission metering and Plant Metering.Knowledge of high-end metering installations including JemStar, ION, Q1000 and translate metersKnowledge of Electric distributions systems, e.g. different services types and voltagesKnowledge and experience working with Mobile Work Management Systems (SS9) application as well as other Duke applications such as Maplink, CBIS, Powertrack, etc..Prior experience with telecommunications devices (i.e. Wireless, Cellular, RS 232/474, ethernet)Prior experience with communication protocols (ie DNP, MODBUS, etc.)Demonstrated problem solving and general troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of service area within reporting location.
