About the Job.

JPI has an exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join our Real Estate Finance team in Dallas, TX. As we expand our portfolio from 25+ deals to significantly larger scale, this newly created position will establish investment operations infrastructure and manage reporting to our capital partners.

As a Senior Associate, your initial focus will be building systems for debt management and compliance monitoring - moving from manual processes to automated workflows that scale with our growth. Once this infrastructure is in place, the role expands into institutional investor reporting, portfolio analytics, and supporting the capital markets team with operational needs. This is an operational and analytical role with significant opportunity to grow as our capital partner relationships and portfolio expand.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Establish infrastructure for tracking debt covenants, reporting obligations, and compliance across the portfolio

  • Implement systems and workflows that automate compliance monitoring and lender reporting

  • Prepare and submit financial reports and compliance certificates to lenders and equity partners

  • Develop portfolio analytics and performance reporting for institutional investors

  • Monitor financial covenants and proactively identify potential compliance issues

  • Coordinate with property accounting teams to gather required financial data

  • Serve as primary operational contact with lenders and capital partners

  • Support capital markets team with reporting packages and analytical requests

  • Create dashboards and reporting tools that provide portfolio insights

  • Support investment committee and board with materials related to portfolio performance

  • Maintain centralized database of all debt obligations and capital partner requirements

Non-essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities

  • Support ad hoc portfolio analysis and special projects

  • Contribute to capital markets strategy discussions with operational insights

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field required

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, investment operations, or real estate required

  • Experience with investor reporting, debt compliance, or fund administration strongly preferred

  • Commercial real estate finance or institutional capital markets experience a plus

  • Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capabilities required

  • Experience building or implementing financial systems or processes highly valued

  • Knowledge of real estate finance concepts (NOI, DSCR, LTV, IRR, cap rates) preferred

  • Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) or system integrations a plus

  • Familiarity with property management systems (Yardi, MRI) or debt management platforms a plus

  • CPA, CFA progress, or relevant certifications a plus
