Senior Financial Analyst

Valiant is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in the organization to ensure effective financial management, conduct analysis on key performance indicators, and support the operations management in making effective decisions to drive value. This position will also be expected to play a role in improving processes, procedures, and providing strategic information to drive improved results.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Collaborating with operations teams to develop forecasts, budgets and EACs
• Provide financial analysis (Plan/Forecast Variance, Flux, KPIs) to program managers/directors to drive effective performance against corporate business objectives.
• Work creatively to identify opportunities for improved financial performance
• Operate responsibilities with limited oversight
• Driving improvements in business processes and procedures
• Driving cash flow by working with billing team to determine optimal processes for each program and analyzing unbilled and billed accounts receivables
• Enter project structure, project master data, and all contract funding and value into Costpoint
• Develop Work Breakdown Structure with program management and contracts
• Collaborate with shared services teams to expedite actions and resolve issues that have potential to adversely affect the End Market or enterprise
• Quality Assurance on charging of all expenses
• Prepare customer reports per contract requirements
• Assist Pricing team in cost estimating and pricing strategy
• Support all customer and governmental audits of programs
• Close out projects upon project completion
• Travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business-related majors
• 4+ years of finance and/or accounting experience
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, Lookup Functions, Data Visualization)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and flexibility as the demands of the business fluctuate
