Mechanics Bank is currently searching for a Physical Security Administrator to join our team. The Physical Security Administrator executes a broad range of responsibilities within the Bank's Physical Security Program with a high degree of autonomy and professional judgment. Ensures the interpretation, application, and enforcement of physical security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements across the organization. Evaluates operational and security impacts, develops and recommends strategic solutions, and leads the implementation of process enhancements to support program objectives. Operates within established departmental goals while exercising independent discretion in planning, prioritizing, and organizing work in alignment with leadership's strategic direction.

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee and manage the Physical Security ticketing and service delivery program, ensuring SLA compliance and escalation governance. Establishes standards for access control issuance and ensures adherence across designated regions. Provides analytical review of incident trends and recommends corrective measures or policy adjustments.

  • Serves as a security program representative to the PMO, evaluating project requirements, defining security controls, and approving compliance aligned with enterprise physical security standards. Exercises judgment in coordinating with internal and external partners, ensuring alignment with the Bank's physical security strategy.

  • Independently conduct annual branch threat and vulnerability assessments. Coordinates with Physical Security leadership on acceptable residual risk levels and drives remediation planning with business units on identified deficiencies

  • Maintains strategic relationships with law enforcement and federal agencies. Represents the Bank in investigative matters, ensuring appropriate legal coordination and advising leadership on risks and responses.

  • Maintains the operational readiness of all Physical Security platforms, ensuring compliance with lifecycle standards, firmware governance, and vendor performance. Interprets and communicates security policy requirements and standards to stakeholders.

  • Act as Banks after hour emergency support contact for potential criminal activity and/or safety concerns on an as needed basis.

  • Acts as one of the Banks after hour emergency point of contacts. Exercises discretion in assessing after hours escalations and determining appropriate response actions

  • Serves as a subject matter expert for Physical Security technology and operations, guiding stakeholders and influencing strategic security decisions set forth by Physical Security leadership

Who you are:

  • 4 Year / Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or related area is preferred.

  • High School or GED is required.

  • 3 years of related experience in loss prevention, law enforcement, bank operations, and/or security and compliance experience is required depending upon area of assignment, preferably in a financial services environment; OR equivalent combination of education and experience may be reviewed.

  • Preferred: APP or PSP certification

  • Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, Power Point, CAD applications and Internet.

  • Proficient in Genetec, DMP, and Solink camera and access control systems (preferred).

  • Works independently with little supervision while providing clear documented status and progress of work activities and business issues impacting the department.

  • Requires excellent human relations and communication skills to be able to assist Managers and Supervisors with discrete security issues.

  • Must have the ability to make administrative decisions and excellent customer service skills.

  • Must be able to cope with pressure resulting from meeting required deadlines and reporting requirements.

  • Be able to travel between the bank locations and periodically commute for security purposes (10-20%).

  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changes and self-starter.

  • Possess effective time management and organizational skills.

  • Exemplary motivation, enthusiasm, and professionalism.

  • High level of accuracy and great attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Consistently demonstrate tact, discretion and good judgment.

  • Consistently demonstrates ability to coach and develop direct reports.

  • Performs all other Security related functions as set forth by Security Manager.

Pay Range: $26.00 - 37.00 hourly

AIP/Bonus: up to 5%

Final compensation package will be determined by the work experience, education, and/or skill level of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
