 Summary Job Description: Administrative Assistant II Full-time I First Shift Surgical Services I Lexington Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department. Description: 
 - Assists Executive Director, Cardiovascular Services with scheduling meetings, events and assisting with coordination of services for transition and moves.
 - Oversees and coordinates activities for Invasive and Non-invasive Cardiology services with scheduling events, coordinating survey schedules, and assisting with reports.
 - Coordinate and complete special projects independently or in cooperation with other groups as assigned.
 - Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day management of supplies, equipment, and facilities for the Heart and Valve Center, as appropriate, to include maintenance, inventory management, logistics, security, and related activities.
 - Serves as a primary point of direct administrative contact and liaison with other departments internally throughout the organization and external institutions and agencies on a range of specified issues; organizes and facilitates meetings, conferences, and other special events, as required.
 - Organizes and facilitates meetings and special events, schedules and coordinates dates and times, venues, attendance, agendas, and facilities, takes minutes, and provides administrative support and follow-up on matters arising from meetings.
 - Maintains and updates office supplies for Cardiovascular Services
 - Maintains Executive Director's schedule.
 - Schedule meetings according to executive's guidelines.
 - Provide information on schedule to executive daily or more frequently as appropriate.
 - Coordinate schedule to provide effective use of executive's time.
 - Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
 
 
Requirements: 
 - High School Diploma or equivalent.
 - 3 years of Administrative Assistant experience.
