Overview

How you can make a difference

The Sr. People Business Partner is responsible for establishing strong client relationships and aligning HR strategies with the objectives of your assigned business units. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping HR strategies and solutions that deliver value to business leaders and employees. You'll work closely with business leaders to drive initiatives that improve talent management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.

What you'll be doing

    Cultivate strong partnerships with business unit leaders, offering strategic HR guidance.
  • Work cross functionally on HR initiatives related to talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, and talent development.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to leaders and employees on HR policies, Federal and local legislation, strategies and best practices to meet organizational goals.
  • Mentor and guide People Business Partners, offering support in client alignment and project delivery.
  • Lead HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate on HR programs and support people center of excellences (COEs) with valuable insight, communication strategies and change management.
  • Partner with leaders to enhance overall team performance through effective talent strategies, talent development, and performance management
  • Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and opportunities and communicate recommendations for improvement.
  • Supports compensation decisions related to new hire offers, promotions, bonus and merit increases, and overall job architecture
  • Provides mentorship for senior leaders and/or coordinate with external executive coaches
  • Consistently challenges status quo applying organizational change and influencing abilities. Takes initiative to improve the people elements within the respective client group over time.
  • Assist in resolving complex employee relations matters and investigations, partnering with employee relations or legal as needed.

What you will need to be successful

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
  • 6+ years of progressive HR experience

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to collaborate and influence at all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide HR professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self motivated and ability to implement solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Excellent prioritization skills and ability to meet objectives.
  • Ability to take a proactive consultative approach with leaders at all levels, identifying appropriate People team solutions as needs arise
  • Knowledge of key HR practice areas, such as compensation, talent management, learning and development, etc.
  • Ability to deliver remarkable service in difficult and ambiguous circumstances

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred

Salary Range

$96500.00 To $115000.00 / year
