| Description
   
   Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Environmental Compliance Professional to work with our Environment, Safety, Health & Quality team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls Willow Creek facility with every other Friday off. You will identify and implement environmental and associated radiological requirements to ensure compliance with DOE Orders, Federal and State regulations, and various standards (i.e., ANSI, NESHAP, etc. and DOE Directives, Guides, and Handbooks). Responsibilities: * Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and processes to ensure INL work scope is compliant. This includes development of highly complex regulatory interpretations and resolution of potential or actual compliance issues, in consultation with legal representatives. Also, may include development of permits; collection of samples; and gathering data, calculating/modeling, and coordinating with other site contractors for the site-wide reporting to stakeholders and/or regulatory authorities. * Maintain expertise of all existing regulations in assigned area of technical competence and actively monitor for proposed changes in federal, state, and local environmental regulations which may include RCRA, CERCLA, NEPA, EPCRA, FIFRA, CAA, CWA, NHPA, SDWA, UST, TSCA, drinking water cross-connection, and radioactive waste management. * Present to and interface with Federal and State regulators for all environmental inspections and respond to identified areas of concerns and/or non-compliances. * Assess environmental risk and develop required risk-mitigation strategies. * Monitor and evaluate implementation of environmental requirements using assessments and/or surveillance. * Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of short and long-term plans to achieve annual goals, objectives, and work standards focused on achieving INL's mission and assigned priorities. * May assess environmental risk and develop required regulatory documentation. * May perform oversight and assist in implementation of laboratory environmental requirements, permits, agreements, and corrective actions. * May act as the primary point of contact (POC) for assigned regulatory group. * May train junior personnel in technical complexities of assigned tasks. * May perform duties related to contract management. * May support customers by preparing or reviewing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
   
   Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in a related area, preferably in Science or Engineering. Related experience commensurate with level. Testing Designated Position (TDP). This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "L" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Preferred Experience: Experience with EPIMS (Environmental Permit Information Management System), and working with Research & Development organizations. Job Information: The pay range for this position is Salary grade 430 ($65,064-$133,416). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in an office and field/laboratory environment. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to keyboard or type, handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job may require operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with people is required.
