ring your compassion, skill, and heart to where life's most meaningful moments happen. Sentara Obici Hospital is seeking an experienced and caring Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team on the Full-Time Night Shift.

As a Labor and Delivery RN, you'll play a vital role in supporting mothers, babies, and families through every stage of the birthing experience. From admission through delivery and recovery, you'll provide expert, compassionate care while working closely with physicians, midwives, and other members of the care team. Your ability to stay calm under pressure and provide reassurance during life-changing moments will make a lasting impact on the families you serve.

Located in Suffolk, Virginia, Sentara Obici Hospital offers the perfect blend of community warmth and advanced medical excellence. Our Women's Health team is proud to deliver exceptional care in a nurturing, family-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients.

  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being and respond promptly to changes in condition.

  • Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and other obstetric procedures.

  • Support patient education, comfort, and emotional well-being throughout the birthing process.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Virginia (or compact state).

  • BSN or MSN preferred.

  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

  • NRP certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • Prior Labor and Delivery or Women's Health experience preferred.
