Summary Plan and implement therapeutic recreation services for residents and patients while meeting all regulatory standards. Will evaluate therapeutic treatment plans; developing treatment options; developing, conducting, and evaluating in-service education programs; directing staff. Yes Essential Functions - Team members are hired, mentored, and continually developed to achieve stated goals for performance and complete annual reviews in a timely manner. -Independent and group activities for residents and patients are developed and implemented to meet their needs and interests. -Activities programs are implemented in adherence with established procedures. -Activities are adjusted to meet a resident or patient's physical, developmental, physiological, emotional and spiritual responses -Residents/patients are transported to and from activities per established standards. -Resident/patient care is documented and communicated per department guidelines. -Assist in development of budget for Recreation and Wellness programs Education Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Activities Assistant or demonstrated evidence of specialized training in developing and conducting social or recreational programs. 3-5 years required Experience in management and leadership 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to work weekends and holidays. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Ability to lead and supervise fitness activities, monitor behavior, oversee activities, and perform in-services as needed. - Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel and the general public. - Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.
