Software Asset Management Representative

This is a non-supervisory position reporting to the Manager of IT Finance and IT Procurement. The position requires ensuring compliance with procedures to populate, source, and accurately manage license information within the software asset tracking system (SNOW). This position involves interfacing with all levels of management; good written and verbal communication skills are required. This is a full time on-site position located in Groton, CT.

Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with IT Regulatory Compliance and IT Procurement to ensure information accuracy
• Assist with executing processes and procedures to populate, source, and accurately manage license information within the software asset tracking system (SNOW).
• Take ownership of tasks such as renewal communication based on license expiration dates, gathering incomplete license information, monitoring license compliance, and tracking purchase and savings history.
• Monitor user access rights to ensure data integrity
• Recognize and respond to business reporting needs
• Assist in supporting software license entitlement audits
• Ability to analyze and draw meaningful conclusions and forecasts from large sets of data
• Identify under-utilized software licenses for potential cost savings opportunity
• Set standards across EB and with suppliers of professionalism, sound judgement and fairness
• Maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal regulation and internal policies and procedures

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or two years of software asset management related experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance

Preferred:

• Information Technology software licensing experience
• Experience in using Software Asset Management software (Snow, Flexera, ServiceNow)
• Knowledge of performance metrics and reporting, technical problem resolution, and risk management
• Experience working in a highly-regulated industry such as DOD contracting
• Experience gathering and analyzing data to effect meaningful change in areas that need improvement

• Strong PC skills (Microsoft 365 Suite)
• Ability to build relationships across all departments and levels within organization
