On-Call Chaplain (PRN, Rotating Shift) Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center Position Summary: The On-Call Chaplain provides essential, immediate pastoral care services to patients, families, and staff during non-standard hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This role is crucial for delivering holistic, spiritual, and emotional support across all areas of the Medical Center, particularly in emergency or crisis. Key Responsibilities: Pastoral Care Provision: Deliver comprehensive chaplaincy services upon request, which include, but are not limited to: Bedside visitation and spiritual guidance. Administration of sacraments consistent with the chaplain's denomination. Pastoral counseling is provided for patients, families, and staff experiencing crisis or distress, offering spiritual and emotional support specifically for staff as required.
Education: Required: Bachelor's degree in Theology or a related field. Required Training: Completion of a minimum of one semester of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training. Preferred: Master's degree from an accredited seminary (AATS) Experience, Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Salary Range: Minimum 22.00/hour - Maximum 22.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
