Overview

Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the S&M functional leaders during the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, delivery of timely, accurate and relevant financial information and insights to management, & will be responsible for core finance functions including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. Additional responsibilities include supporting activities under the direction of the Sr. Manager, FP&A.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

Support the Sales & Marketing Finance team, including:

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and support the management of monthly financial cost center tracking files.
  • Analyze variances between actual results, prior year, and budget/forecast, and prepare monthly financial reports for leadership.
  • Assist in preparing and importing data for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts & landings, and long-range financial planning with insights into senior leadership on financial performance and trends.
  • Support the approval process for contracts, purchase requisitions, and position requests, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with various teams to provide data-driven insights and support business decision-making.
  • Prepare data for ad-hoc reporting and participate in meetings with senior leadership to discuss financial results and business performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Interaction:

This position works closely with Accounting/Finance/FP&A/AP and Procurement teams as well as senior and middle management, consultants, and vendors.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or closely related field from accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience including accounting, financial analysis, or financial planning/budgeting. Pharmaceutical industry related experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software.
  • OneStream Software experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present effectively to audiences at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative-taker can work independently and take initiative in challenging situations.

Work Environment:

Typical office setting, staff in cubicles, noise level is moderate with consistent printer, telephone ringing, and conversation. Employee is located in a cubicle setting.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role is $94,000 to $129,500 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications
