   | Description
 | The EHS Manager provides comprehensive leadership, support, and guidance to the Midlothian site on implementing the organizational Environmental, Health and Safety Management Programs. The EHS Manager is responsible for site compliance with all EHS regulatory requirements. This integral role interacts with managers, technical staff, operators and customers to ensure regulatory and company EHS requirements and goals are achieved. The EHS Manager leads site efforts to prevent incidents, accidents and events which are dangerous or harmful, to employees, contractors, property or the environment. The EHS Manager ensures the site is following applicable, local, state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, CAA, RCRA, CWA, CERCLA, EPCRA, SARA) as well as the internal requirements established by Aurorium. |

         | Role Specific Responsibilities:
           
           
            Compliance:Practices and re-enforces all site safety policies, guidelines and proceduresProvides daily guidance and direction in EHS programs to all employees, contractors and supervisors to ensure a common and effective approachManages key environmental programs, recordkeeping, reporting, and permitting (Air, Chemical Management, Wastewater, Noise, Stormwater, hot work, LO/TO, safe work permit, etc.)Leads and manages on-site EHS team members and contractorsParticipates in emergency response drills and critiquesSupports Corporate EHS initiatives through participation in the EHS council and sub-teamsConducts regular walk-through of all work areas to identify hazards, evaluate controls, recommend improvements, communicate with associates, and record appropriatelyMonitors industrial hygiene and ergonomic assessmentsDetermines safety best practices and trains individuals and teamsPartners cross-functionally to accomplish all regulatory training and related activities to employees and contractorsLeads and tracks incident investigations to identify root causes and drives corrective action efforts to prevent re-occurrenceTracks and reports EHS performance for the Midlothian siteMaintains and updates Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all safe work practices and equipmentManages required reporting relative to local, state, and federal regulatory agenciesInterfaces directly with outside regulatory agencies and works with Site Director and Corporate EHS to respond to regulatory inquiriesOrganizes and maintains Safety and Environmental recordsManages and maintains the site OSHA 300 logsFacilitates the transition to solid associate led EHS systems and provides leadership and resource support to local Site Leadership, Champions, and Safety CommitteeManages the Workers Compensation process with the appropriate vendor to achieve proper communication, management of claims, and quality carePrepares and manages the EHS budget as directedPerforms additional duties as assigned 
            Problem Solving and Innovation:Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and arrangementsReports all Health, Safety and Environmental accidents, incidents, and near misses promptlyActs in a safe and responsible manner at all times 
            Qualifications/Desired Skills
           
           
           Education and Qualifications:Active participation within continuous improvement activitiesParticipates in problem solvingTakes responsibility and ownership for own learning and development in the spirit of continuous improvement of both self and the businessAssists in the training, mentoring and assessment of other team membersExercises autonomy and judgement subject to overall direction or guidance 
            Experience:Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or related technical field 
            Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:5-7 years of EHS experience within a chemical manufacturing facility3 years of leadership experience, including training and auditing for compliance
