(Hybrid) Part Time Program Assistant - WVU Tech (Beckley)

West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVU Tech), a part of the WVU System of campuses located in Beckley, WV, is currently seeking applications for a Part-Time Program Assistant to support a grant-funded Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers (ITEST) project.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and organized program assist to support an ITEST project. ITEST is a program of the National Science Foundation (NSF). WVU Tech is partnering with the Stroud Water Research Center in Avondale, PA and Millersville University in Millersville, PA to deliver Environmental Education Via Integrated Spatial Computing for STEM in Elementary Schools (ENVISION). The program assistant will onboard and pay participating teachers from West Virginia and Delaware, arrange travel, order materials and supplies, help assemble classroom kits, and perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of the project.

What you'll do:

• Onboard teachers
• Process teacher payments
• Arrange travel and process travel reimbursements
• Order materials for classroom kits
• Help assemble classroom kits
• Attend virtual and in-person meetings
• Take minutes for meetings
• Assist with reporting requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Grade: 12

Work Hours: 20 hours per week

• Associates degree

• A minimum of six (6) months full-time work experience

• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.

• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Computer literacy

• Experience with MS Office

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Strong teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to adapt and excel in a dynamic work environment.
