Role Summary:
The Director of Digital Workplace & End User Computing (EUC) Technology is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving the enterprise's digital workplace experience. This leader oversees the technology platforms, tools, and services that enable employees to work productively, securely, and collaboratively-whether in the office, remote, or hybrid. The role spans the full lifecycle of end-user technology, including device management, productivity suites, collaboration tools, endpoint security, and user support services.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the enterprise digital workplace strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and workforce needs.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and implementing emerging technologies that enhance user productivity and engagement.
  • .Develop a roadmap for modernizing end-user computing, including cloud-based services, automation, and self-service capabilities

Technology Delivery & Operations

  • Oversee the lifecycle management of all end-user devices (laptops, desktops, mobile, virtual desktops) and related software.
  • Lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of collaboration platforms
  • Ensure seamless integration of digital workplace tools with our technology platforms.
  • Play a critical role in defining and maintaining the endpoint security strategy, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

User Experience & Support

  • Establish and monitor key metrics to measure digital workplace performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and Technology peers to enhance and champion the overall employee technology experience.

People & Financial Management

  • Lead and develop a high-performing technology team, fostering skill growth in modern workplace solutions.
  • Manage budgets for EUC infrastructure, software, and operations, ensuring cost efficiency and value delivery.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring service levels and performance standards are met.

Minimum Qualifications-Degree or equivalentexperience. Typically requires12+ years of professionalexperience and 4+ years ofmanagement experience.

Critical Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing EUC or digital workplace programs.
  • Proven experience implementing modern workplace platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, endpoint management, VDI, mobile device management).
  • Strong track record in managing distributed teams and complex technology environments.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of end-user computing architectures, collaboration tools, and endpoint security.
  • Excellent vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience driving change management and adoption of new technologies.

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$142,500 - $237,500
