Position Overview
The Clinical Coordinator / Nurse Manager is responsible for both clinical and administrative oversight of the Operating Room (OR) and Sterile Processing Department (SPD) within a three-room, single-specialty Urology facility. This role ensures the effective direction, provision, and quality of nursing services delivered to patients, supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality perioperative care. The position combines leadership, operational management, and direct clinical expertise to promote excellence in patient outcomes and team performance. Job Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the OR and SPD, ensuring safe and efficient clinical practices
Provide direct supervision and support to nursing and surgical staff
Monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards
Coordinate patient care activities and ensure optimal workflow across perioperative services
Participate in staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation and records related to patient care and departmental operations
Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and other clinical leaders to optimize care delivery
Support quality improvement initiatives and implement evidence-based practices
Manage supply levels and coordinate with procurement to maintain necessary inventory
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff within the OR and SPD
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
CNOR certification required
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in an operating room setting
Current, valid RN license in the state of New Jersey
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Knowledge of infection control principles, sterile processing, and surgical safety protocols
