The Lab Coordinator is responsible for delivering exceptional client experience every day through proactive communication, and high touch service within a select portfolio of properties. This client-facing role provides the opportunity to combine your passion for service, brilliant people skills and enthusiasm for creating a hospitality focused workplace environment into your day to day.This includes but is not limited to maintaining stockroom and cleanroom, performing basic equipment maintenance, shipping and receiving package deliveries, managing inventory and chemicals, performing group inspections, coordinating with the facilities department, escorting and managing recordkeeping systems.

What is your day to day?

  • Acts as single point of lab contact to coordinate scheduled work, resolution of service incidents and escalation of instrument/equipment technical issues
  • Directs, coordinates and expedites the repairs of laboratory equipment and facilities for laboratory and off-site depot.
  • Conducts physical inventories of lab assets and compares results obtained with totals on control records and solves discrepancy problems. Prepares reports and keeps records related to the stores function.
  • Responsible for the storage, inventory and transfer of lab equipment or spare parts.
  • Escort vendors.
  • Provide information and direction to vendors, facilities staff and other service providers as required to ensure excellent coordination and execution of work, with minimal disruption.
  • Conduct daily lab walk-through to ensure a clean, well-stocked and organized.
  • Obtain vendor quotes and submit work authorizations
  • Collaborate with Lab Users to ensure equipment availability and minimal interruption to R&D operations.
  • Stay aligned with changes in R&D schedules that provide a window for execution of planned opportunistic work.
  • Maintain CMMS data integrity and perform data corrections and updates to associated spares, new assets, maintenance tasks, costs and labor when required
  • Work overtime or temporarily modify shift schedule to support Life Sciences R&D Operations as needed

Desired experience and technical skills -

Required:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred
  • 2-3 years minimum prior relevant experience in hospitality, facility / property management, building operations and/or knowledge of commercial real estate
  • Exceptional customer service skills and professionalism with a passion for hospitality
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills and track record of excellent internal and external customerservice
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally
  • Excellent organizational skills and process management
  • Ability to problem solve and develop process enhancements
  • Ability to work independently - strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams - lead by example; respectful, cooperative, accountable
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new devices, technology, and applications
  • Adhere to the appearance policy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Estimated compensation for this position:

72,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
