General responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 
 
 
 Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire projectServe as a subject matter expert on specialized systemsLiaises with Project Management, other Architects and consultantsDevelops and represents lead technical viewpoint on projectsCoordinates with Director and Department Head on appropriate technical solutions and product strategiesCollaborate with project teams during project design phases including programming, concept development, schematic design, design development, and construction documentationDevelop design sketches, renderings, models, graphics, presentation materials, analysis, and construction drawings and schedulesParticipate in the bidding and construction administration of projects including jobsite visits, review of submittals, and responding to contractor questionsCommunicate and engage with a wide variety of stakeholders including clients, owners, users, team members, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve overall project objectivesContribute to office activities, initiatives, and participation in continuous learningMentor junior design staff in their professional developmentHelp deliver great projects with a sense of energy, passion and personal responsibility!
 
 
 Capable of independently leading and executing projects of medium to large size and/or complexity with minor direction and oversightAdvanced level knowledge of design, modeling and graphic software (Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or similar applications)Advanced level understanding of appropriateness of building information modeling for various project typesAdvanced level understanding of architectural drafting, detail and documentation standardsProficient level understanding of architectural specifications and their relationship to construction documentsAdvanced understanding of basic codes, sustainability requirements and their implementationProficient level understanding of building programmingDedicated to developing his/her professional and leadership skills within the firmProficient in client presentation development, public speaking, technical writing and business correspondence skills
 
 
 Professional degree from an NAAB accredited Architecture program8-10 years of professional experienceMust be a fully registered Architect (RA) in at least one US stateAdditional accreditations supporting the firm's commitment to design and continued personal growth (LEED AP, WELL, etc.) will be given special considerationPhysical model building, experience in a model building shop is strongly preferredExcellent graphic, drawing, and presentation capabilitiesExposure to environmental analysis applications such as Climate Studio, Sefaira, Insight360, and Lady Bug/Honeybee is a plus Commitment to sustainable design principles and interest in achieving accreditation in LEED AP, WELL AP, and/or Green Globes
 
 
 Working Conditions At JMT, we prioritize a healthy work/life balance and offer a flexible hybrid working schedule. The selected candidate is expected to work in a JMT office location at least three days per week or as needed to perform assigned duties. While most of our work is desk-based, there may be times when standing, walking, bending and lifting of minimal weight are required. Our office environment is comfortable, has adequate lighting and temperature, and is free from noise, dust, and other hazards.
