AVP Culture is a key enterprise leader responsible for designing, leading, and sustaining Vizient's culture transformation strategy. This role partners across business units and enterprise functions to create the conditions for a purpose-driven, high-performing, and inclusive culture that enhances employee engagement, accelerates innovation, and supports strategic growth.
With a deep commitment to collaboration and enterprise partnership, the AVP will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to shape experiences that embed our mission, values, and leadership expectations throughout the employee lifecycle. This leader will guide a team of culture and engagement professionals and leverage data-driven insights to inform enterprise decisions, shift mindsets, and inspire shared ownership for culture across the organization.

Culture Transformation Leadership

  • Lead the enterprise culture strategy to evolve and embed Vizient's desired culture in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
  • Act as a culture thought leader and trusted advisor to executives, shaping leadership behavior, rituals, and employee experiences that drive cultural alignment and performance.
  • Build and execute a multi-year culture roadmap that integrates mindset shifts, behavior change, and measurement frameworks tied to business outcomes.

Employee Engagement & Experience Strategy

  • Develop and implement a modern employee engagement and experience strategy across the employee lifecycle, with emphasis on hybrid work innovation, wellbeing, recognition, and shared purpose.
  • Oversee high-impact programs such as Culture Week, the Vizient Culture Book, and enterprise storytelling initiatives that reinforce key behaviors and values.
  • Drive the alignment of culture, belonging, talent, and business strategies to deliver an integrated employee experience that fosters inclusion, growth, and performance.

Listening & Analytics

  • Lead enterprise continuous listening efforts (onboarding, engagement, pulse, exit, and lifecycle surveys) to ensure timely and actionable insights.
  • Analyze and synthesize employee data with workforce analytics to uncover trends, shape strategy, and inform leadership decisions with compelling narratives.
  • Present insights and outcomes to executive leaders, ensuring clarity of impact and alignment with enterprise goals.

Collaboration & Change Enablement

  • Partner closely with HRBPs, Talent, Communications, Organizational Effectiveness and Business Unit leaders to operationalize culture initiatives across functions and levels.
  • Promote shared accountability for culture transformation through strong cross-functional collaboration, consultation, and influence.
  • Serve as a change champion, enabling adoption of new mindsets and behaviors through clear communication, inclusive engagement, and practical tools.

Team & Program Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Culture & Engagement team to deliver consistent enterprise value.
  • Create governance, best practices, and operating models that scale culture transformation work efficiently and sustainably.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred; Master's degree desired

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience leading DEI in a large organization

  • DEI Certification preferred

  • Exceptional experience in change management and people skills

  • Strategic planning experience required

  • Experience analyzing workforce data required

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
