 Shipping & Receiving Associate/Parts Delivery Driver Position Purpose Responsible for verifying accuracy of parts being received in, put into bins for stock, and pulled for internal and external customers, as well as facilitating outbound shipments efficiently and accurately in order to increase revenue. Responsible for the safe and efficient pick-up of parts and components to internal and external customers. Shipping & Receiving Associate/Parts Delivery Driver Essential Functions 
 
 
 Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One GoalPerforms work in the parts warehouse shipping/receiving parts, pulling parts orders, and general warehouse duties when not delivering partsTracks shipments and freight charges via the Internet and bills accuratelyReceives parts into the computer system and processes as the system indicatesOperates material handling equipment, including forklifts and hydraulic hose-build machinery in a safety-approved mannerLoads and unloads delivery trucksLoads and secures transport of any parts or components to customers' and or vendors' locationsVerifies part numbers and quantity of parts or components delivered or picked upObtains the customer's or customer's representative's signature on documentation when requiredAssists in the parts warehouse with stocking and retrieving parts orders as neededSafely operates and maintains company delivery truck and trailer as well as a clean outward appearance of bothPerformspre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailerAbides by and complies with all traffic lawsInspects parts and inbound shipments for defects or damagesPicks up and delivers as directed; maintains accurate records of transport and obtains necessary signaturesAssists in inventory counts as neededParticipates in training as designated by managementPerforms general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environmentAdheres to all safety rules, policies, and proceduresActs professionally in all interactions and communications with customers and employeesEnsures consistent and reliable on-site attendancePerforms other job-related duties as assigned
 
 Shipping & Receiving Associate/Parts Delivery Driver Minimum Qualifications 
 
 
 High School Diploma or EquivalentSix (6) months of shipping and receiving experience with material handling experience preferredAbility to speak, read, and write in EnglishProficient with computer applications; shipping software preferredValid driver's license and clean driving recordAble to utilize a road map or electronic GPS device for locationsKnowledge and experience in the safe operation of vehicles pulling a trailer
 
 Shipping & Receiving Associate/Parts Delivery Driver Physical Requirements 
  
 Pushes/Pulls/Lifts/Carries up to 50 pounds without assistancePhysical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overheadMust be able to work in extreme heat or cold and wet, damp, dusty, or windy conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odorsAbility to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition
