The Market Development Manager will drive the growth of Strategic Product revenue by building and executing on a process for new sales opportunities, and managing the market development process for new and existing clients.
Responsibilities
* Lead efforts to identify and market inland flood product to MR US client companies, develop and execute on a sales strategy, qualify leads and support triaging of opportunities
* Drive growth of the inland flood product by working with client companies to develop and implement marketing plans, support client company through education, training and marketing materials, monitor plans' effectiveness, maintain communication with client company to adjust plans as needed.
* Manage product performance by client, in particular product uptake, premium growth and accumulations. Establishes revenue projections for assigned companies based on marketing strategy.
* Ensure the Inland Flood data supporting product performance management are accurate, reliable, and well-maintained.
* Act as business product owner for the Inland Flood applications, responsible for defining requirements, prioritizing enhancements, and ensuring data quality and integrity to support the product performance management dataset.
* Project work in support of Applied Analytics as needed
* Product Knowledge - Builds and maintains sufficient level of Strategic Products knowledge to speak to the product background (market and climate conditions, customer pain points), product features and benefits, relevant case studies and examples of product implementations, and address questions about customizations and product roadmap.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of personal lines/homeowners insurance experience preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Product Development and/or Sales & Marketing
* Ability to effectively communicate Munich Re Strategic Product offerings
* Knowledge of insurance industry operations and markets, including distribution channels, general market theory and business plan writing
* Familiarity with White Label Business Model
* Familiarity with IT concepts, including API integration
* Proficiency in Power BI and Excel
* Public Speaking/Presentation Skills
* General Insurance Knowledge
The Company is open to considering candidates in Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company's Princeton location.
The base salary range anticipated for this position is $141,000 - $170,000 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton, NJ. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
