Location: 100% Remote (North America, Eastern Time Zone preferred) Travel: 2-3 times per quarter for strategic or working sessions Office: North Buckhead neighborhood, Atlanta, GA Overview We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with 3-5 years of experience to support the development and enhancement of automated systems. This role involves analyzing business requests, defining system scope and objectives, and translating user needs into functional system requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in Agile environments, strong integration knowledge, and familiarity with payment or POS systems. Key Responsibilities * Analyze business and user needs to design automated systems that meet functional and industry requirements. * Define system scope and objectives based on user input and business context. * Document and translate business requirements into detailed system specifications. * Configure system settings and options to support business processes. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT). * Write and validate requirements; participate in UAT to ensure alignment with business goals. * Conduct research using SQL queries and analyze JSON requests as needed. * Support API integration projects and troubleshoot integration issues. * Review documentation in Confluence and schedule stakeholder meetings to gather additional information. Top Skills & Experience * Business Analysis: 3-5 years of experience gathering and refining requirements. * UAT Participation: Experience validating requirements and participating in user acceptance testing. * SQL: Ability to write simple queries for research and validation. * Industry Experience: * Preferred: Payments or POS systems (hardware + software). * Acceptable: Financial services or restaurant/hospitality backend systems. * Technical Acumen: * Experience reading JSON requests. * Familiarity with API integration projects. * Agile/Scrum: Strong foundational experience working in Agile environments. * Tools: Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Slack. Secondary Skills * Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Managers to manage sprints. * Proactively identify and remove roadblocks. * Facilitate communication with downstream technical stakeholders. * Work closely with Product Management, UX, and other stakeholders to drive actionable requirements. Workstreams Include: * Launching third-party delivery systems. * Releasing new versions of wireless handsets. * Enhancing POS systems and customer experience features. Stakeholder Engagement * Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams. * Engage with reseller networks, including merchants and dealers. * Balance time between meetings (50%) and requirement refinement/documentation (50%). Performance Metrics (KPIs) * Quality and clarity of requirements. * Customer satisfaction. * Number of reworked tickets. * Bugs and defects identified post-release. Education & Certification * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. * Certifications in Business Analysis or Product Management from accredited institutions. * Alternative training (e.g., General Assembly) with relevant project experience is also acceptable. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
