Job Summary
The Panel Builder 2 is responsible for assembling and wiring electrical control panels in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires basic electrical knowledge, the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The position involves both fabrication and wiring tasks within a manufacturing environment and requires adherence to all applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Anaheim, CA, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Job Responsibilities
Assemble and wire control panels and enclosures according to mechanical and electrical drawings.
Fabricate backplates, enclosures, and door wiring with minimal supervision.
Identify and correctly install hardware components within control systems.
Apply and install wire labels, device tags, and component markings accurately.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
Identify wire gauges, colors, and ampacities and apply proper wiring practices.
Read and interpret both metric and standard measuring tools and tape measures.
Identify and report any wiring or drawing discrepancies to engineering for correction.
Recognize differences between stainless steel and painted steel materials and apply proper fabrication methods.
Conduct all tasks in compliance with company safety policies, ISO 9001 standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and assist team members as needed.
Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and expand technical skills.
Job Requirements
1-2 years of experience in the electrical field, preferably with exposure to control panel assembly or industrial wiring.
Basic understanding of electrical principles and ability to identify wiring components.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments.
Ability to identify wire gauges, colors, and components accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Willingness to receive training and retain technical knowledge.
Understanding of workplace safety and environmental standards.
