Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Souza Baranowski Correctional Center - Shirley, MA

Schedule:Monday-Friday 7am-3pm, No Weekends and No Holidays

Pay rate: $24.00/hour

The Medical Assistant/CNA:

• Conducts assessments for patients referred to treatment and/or enrolled in services including triage, COWS, vitals.
• Schedules and prepares documentation for all admission physical assessments, annual physical assessments and follow up appointments with the medical provider.
• Data enters all medication lists into the electronic health record for medication reconciliation purposes and as directed. Responsible for submitting and processing all medical records requests.
• Conduct toxicology screening and phlebotomy in accordance with the program policy/procedure and regulatory frequency guidelines. * Strictly adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for patient information or copies of information.
• Provides general cleaning maintenance of medical unit ensuring that it presents as a clean, comfortable, pleasant environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Orders, receives and stocks required inventory of medical supplies as directed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Medical Assistant Certificate, Nursing Assistant Certificate
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Computer experience and familiarity with Windows 2000, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word is required.
