  • Prepare and distribute all MC new/renewal negotiation communications to internal stakeholders to
  • ensure timely and accurate loading of contract terms for Intake, RCM and Operations, as well as assist with as well as assist with ensuring applicable updates to BIGE.
  • Engage with payors to obtain proprietary fee schedule updates, unsigned contracts, incomplete contracts or lost contracts. Coordinate any applicable amendments and distribute to all internal stakeholders.
  • Complete trending reports for use with negotiation planning, using internal data applications and
  • reporting tools. Obtain external data from payer or government websites as needed.
  • Maintain monthly MC logs that summarize negotiation and credentialing activity. Maintain MC monthly logs for moves and denovo activity.
  • Collaborate with MC negotiators, RCM and Intake as needed to research contract / payment /authorization issues to aid in determining best plan for resolution.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in healthcare with provider organization preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables related to data management with the ability to identify issues, problem-solve and escalate problems as they arise
  • Proficient with excel, Smartsheet, Word and Power Point
  • Preferred experience with Qlik and Googlesheets

Responsibilities:

The Managed Care Contract Specialist will be responsible for providing critical internal support to the negotiation strategy planning, negotiation and implementation, as well as ongoing contract performance management. The position will more specifically be responsible for assisting the Managed Care Team with planning and analysis prior to negotiations by using computer-based applications, specialized reports and state and federal websites to generate historical volume/revenue/profitability trending reports and/or new payer potential to aid with rate proposal development and negotiation strategy. The position is also responsible for the distribution of communications to all internal stakeholders for new and renewing managed care agreements across all LOBs, as well as validating and entering contract specific data into the contract management system as needed - including rate and language terms, ongoing updates related to payer demographics; contract terms and any proprietary fee schedules.
