About the Role:

As a New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER) project manager in the Account Management and Client Strategy practice area, you will collaborate with team members to support multiple projects across offices within the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH).

Serving as a NYHER project manager, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include providing support in coordinating projects to expand the capacity of NYSDOH by providing data-driven insights and analyses for multiple NYSDOH programs. You will be supporting New York's Medicaid program, which recently received approval for a new program called the New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER) Waiver.

For this role, you will be required to attend in-person meetings at the client site at a minimum of once per week.

Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate and schedule meetings.
  • Update agendas and action items.
  • Maintain project status logs.
  • Provide project updates to stakeholders.


About you:

Required Qualifications



  • Experience as a project manager within healthcare, Medicaid, or other public sector programs, policies, or systems.
  • Experience updating, maintaining, and managing projects and project logs.
  • Strong communicator and organizer.



Preferred/Desired Qualifications



  • Experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC).


Education and Experience



  • A bachelor's degree in business, public health, health informatics, mathematics, public health, or a related discipline and five years of related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.
