Introduction

The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Team Coordinator in the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. In this role, you will work with a trusted and reputable team that has a history of success connecting individuals and their families with person-centered, recovery-oriented services and supports.


Job Summary

Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking an energetic and dynamic LMHP for the position of Assertive Community Treatment Team Coordinator. The Team Coordinator position leads the team by providing clinical, administrative, and supervisory responsibilities. Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidence-based model supporting adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses or co-occurring substance use disorders by responding with treatment interventions in non-clinic-based settings throughout the entire County of Loudoun. ACT provides ongoing care to individuals who frequently experience episodes of homelessness, hospitalizations, and/or incarcerations.
Responsibilities include crisis intervention, assessment, treatment planning, care management, individual and group therapy, and coordination of treatment services. Oversees all clinical records and documentation according to federal, state and agency policies and procedures. Demonstrates the ability to function as a member and leader of a busy, mobile clinical team utilizing advanced clinical skills. Will be required to transport individuals in program vehicles.

Schedule includes days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. This position schedules staff and ensures 24/7/365 coverage for those receiving ACT. On-call rotation responsibilities. This position is eligible for Emergency Overtime and On-Call pay.

Salary commensurate with experience.


Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree and currently possess professional licensure such as: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW); Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP); three (3) years professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience working with Assertive Community Treatment.
  • Experience working with individuals receiving mental health or co-occurring substance use services in a non-clinic setting.
  • Supervisory Experience.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV and TB test.
  • Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
  • Must be able to wear County-issued N-95 mask and other personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shield, mask, apron, gown, gloves, etc.
