A day in the life...
As a Security Guard, you will be vital in ensuring the safety and security of our building. Your daily responsibilities will include answering phone calls for business inquiries or call-ins, monitoring all exits and high-risk areas, and maintaining the cleanliness of the front-desk area. You will serve as the first point of contact for employees, greeting them as they arrive, and representing the company as the welcoming face for visitors.
What you will be doing...
- Patroling premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors and windows.
- Ensuring security requirements are met throughout the plant by making documented rounds inside and outside of the facility.
- Answering alarms and investigating disturbances.
- Monitoring entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people.
- Issueing, tracking and retrieving employee access cards as needed.
- Calling police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized people.
- Answering telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-office hours or as needed.
- Ensuring security requirements are met throughout the plant.
- Assisting in clean-up of equipment spills and leaks.
- Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
- Completing and following FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensuring consumer safety, and supporting the plant's food safety and quality objectives.
- Promptly reporting and taking appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
- Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the company's Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.

Do you have what it takes?
(Basic Qualifications)
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to read and understand gauges to ensure correct temperatures, pressures, and levels - and contact maintenance in event of equipment issue.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Must be able to handle potential emergency situations and remain calm during such situations.
- Capable of walking and standing for extended periods on hard surfaces, including full facility walkthroughs.

- High School diploma or GED.
- 1+ years experience in the security field.
- Two or more years in a manufacturing facility environment.
- Knowledge and experience implementing security protocols.
