Director of Sales - Walmart

TheDirector of Sales - Walmart & Sam's Club, will maintain and develop business through effective analysis of customer (retailer) opportunities and sound sales recommendations, while leading a small team, located on-site at the HARIBO of America satellite office in Bentonville, Arkansas.

The Director of Sales - Walmart & Sam's Club, will lead sales growth initiatives, develop business plans, establish and execute a vision for our nation-wide business with Walmart and Sam's Club, lead continuous improvement, collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders, and drive a customer centric , high accountability culture that supports appropriate risk taking and decision making.

TheDirector of Sales - Walmart & Sam's Club, will have the ability to execute day-to-day tactics while developing and monitoring a multi-year strategic plan. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in the consumer packaged goods/CPG industry, prior experience calling on Walmart Inc corporate headquarters (Walmart and/or Sam's Club), prior experience leading teams, a Bachelor's Degree, have the ability to travel nation-wide up to 20% of the time, andcurrently reside in the Bentonville, Arkansas metro area. Prior experience in candy, confectionery, or salty snacks strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

• Lead sales growth initiatives HARIBO of America's business, nation-wide, with Walmart & Sam's Club
• Establish and execute a vision for our Walmart/Sam's Club business, driving a customer centric, high accountability culture that supports appropriate risk taking and decision making
• Development, lead, coach, and mentor a small team of National Account Managers and sales support staff
• Accountable for joint business planning, executing brand strategies, and influencing the four P'S - Product, Price, Placement, and Promotion
• Identify margin improvement opportunities and developing strategies to support
• Accountable for forecasting and budgeting based on proper metrics
• Member of the Sales Leadership Team and accountable and responsible for company growth targets with a solutions mindset, collaborative approach with cross functional partners
• Ensures compliance with standards, processes, procedures, and policies, holding other accountable to HARIBO 's high standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, category management, marketing, or other related roles within the consumer packaged goods/CPG industry
• Proficient in Nielsen/ Circana and Walmart specific analytical tools
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, nation-wide, with overnight stays
• Currently reside in the Bentonville, Arkansas metro area due to the geographic location of the HARIBO of America satellite office in Bentonville, AR

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience calling on Walmart Inc. headquarters (Walmart or Sam's)
• Prior supervisory experience - people management/people leadership
• MBA, Master's Degree in Business Administration
• Prior experience in candy, confectionery, or salty snacks strongly preferred

Skills

• Strong financial acumen
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of MS Office including Word and PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
• Ability to execute day-to-day tactics while developing and monitoring a multi-year strategic plan
• Strong decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Demonstrate excellent management and leadership skills
• Ability to see the big picture while being attentive to details
