Cottage Health seeks a Strategic Initiatives Officer for their Advancement department responsible for a high-impact role within the Cottage Health Advancement team, supporting Principal Gifts and other high priority fundraising and Donor Relations efforts. Reporting to Director of Principal Gifts & Strategic Initiatives, the major focus of this role will be to provide specialized support to the Principal Gifts Program and other frontline fundraising professionals through the development of tailored proposals, case statements, presentations and stewardship reports that align with institutional priorities and effectively present a compelling case for philanthropic investment. Responsibilities include:



  • Help to bridge the gap between the fundraising team's donor facing relationship building efforts and operational organization, execution and support, ensuring seamless and timely solicitation and stewardship leading to increasing fundraising success.


QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:



  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree.


Technical Requirements:



  • Minimum: Experience with donor database systems (Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Advance or similar). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management (preferably NXT).


Years of Related Work Experience:



  • Minimum: Three (3) years of progressive experience in development, preferably in healthcare or higher education. Demonstrated success in strategic communications, proposal writing and grant applications. Demonstrated expertise in project management.
