Position Summary

* Oversee the shipping process during the shift, including shipment schedule, and coordination of all job duties that pertain to shipping.


Shift: 1st


Pay Rate: $19.00

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Shipping Shift Coordinator:
* Accurately prepares shipments to customers using approved procedures in Syteline. This includes driving a forklift to pull freight orders and prep for pick up shipments
* Handles other requests for unscheduled shipments. This includes the preparation of required paperwork; invoices, packing lists, shipper's letter of instruction (SLI), bill of lading, and labels
* Packs and palletizes shipments per customer and government requirements
* Contacts appropriate carriers for pick-ups
* Tracks shipments per customer expectations and OTC goals using appropriate systems


Document Preparation and Management:
* Prepares documents to comply with government regulations on all shipments using Syteline


Problem Solving:
* Identifies and corrects problems in the appropriate systems
* Finds solutions to the problems and involves other functions as required
* Proactively works to create efficient systems and processes to stop problems before they happen
* Other duties as assigned

Education

* Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education & experience

Requirements

* Five+ years of receiving, shipping, and warehousing experience
* Able to drive a forklift or be forklift certified
* Demonstrates working knowledge of duties such as transportation scheduling, quality control, receiving, packing, shipping and inventory management

* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
* Intermediate computer skills
* Ability to safely use shipping equipment as required. Includes but not limited to scales, stretch wrap benders, Propane Forklifts and pallet jacks

Physical Requirements

* Will frequently lift up to 25 lbs. and routinely lift up to 55 lbs
* Must be able to routinely work in a "hot room" (up to 110 degrees F at times)
