Position Summary

The Warehouse Team Lead plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day operations within the warehouse and shipping floor. This position partners closely with the Department Manager and Supervisors to coordinate workflow, assign tasks, and ensure accurate, timely, and safe execution of all warehouse activities. The Team Lead serves as the "go-to" resource for their team, providing direction, support, and training while maintaining compliance with company standards and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Coordination & Leadership

    • Assign daily tasks to warehouse associates and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.

    • Act as the first point of contact for questions, concerns, and problem resolution on the floor.

    • Model professional behavior and reinforce company policies, programs, and performance expectations.

    • Step into supervisory responsibilities as needed in the absence of the Supervisor.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Perform and verify daily SAP transactions required for accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

    • Oversee product picking, staging, and loading of outbound orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

    • Support coordination with receiving, scheduling, purchasing, production, and drivers to maintain efficient material flow.

    • Conduct and reconcile daily inventory counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.

    • Maintain organized and efficient work areas, ensuring proper placement of materials and supplies.

  • Training & Development

    • Train and mentor new employees on processes, safety, and system requirements.

    • Provide ongoing coaching to team members to strengthen skills and improve performance.

    • Identify opportunities for cross-training to enhance workforce flexibility.

  • Safety & Compliance

    • Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing company safety policies and reporting hazards immediately.

    • Ensure all required paperwork, logs, and compliance documents are accurately completed and submitted on time.

    • Monitor adherence to quality standards and ensure proper handling, storage, and shipment of products.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.

    • Collaborate with management on problem-solving initiatives and new operational strategies.

    • Support projects and assignments beyond regular daily duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, SAP or similar ERP systems, and inventory management.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
