Responsibilities

Join Our Dynamic Team as an Accounts Payable Specialist!

Are you ready to take your accounting skills to the next level? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our vibrant finance team! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about streamlining processes, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Document Management: Maintain accounts payable documents in the Concur system, including scanning and labeling invoices.
  2. Invoice Approval Process: Route invoices for approval and follow up to ensure timely processing.
  3. Vendor Relations: Review vendor statements, enter adjustments, and resolve discrepancies.
  4. Travel & Expense Reports: Ensure proper documentation and compliance in employee travel and expense reports.
  5. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline invoicing and enhance approval processes.
  6. Compliance Champion: Interpret and apply accounting policies to maintain compliance with standards.
  7. Team Support: Assist the Staff Accountant and Senior Accountant with various tasks.
  8. Additional Duties: Take on other assigned tasks to demonstrate versatility and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. If you're pursuing higher education, that's even better! Some college education towards an applicable degree is preferred.
  • Experience Matters: Bring at least one (1) year of relevant accounts payable experience to the table. If you've worked in multi-unit industries, we'd love to hear from you!
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with Concur and Microsoft D365 is a plus! Your ability to navigate these systems will set you apart.
  • Excel Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook are preferred. Show us your prowess in data management and communication!
  • Process Knowledge: A solid understanding of the entire accounts payable process-from vendor setup to invoice approval and entry-is highly preferred.
  • Conceptual Knowledge: Knowledge of key concepts such as Invoice Aging, AP Sub Ledger, Vendor Accuracy, Duplicate Payments, Vendor Reconciliation, and Manual Payments will give you an edge in this role.
