Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The working lead position has been created to provide shift support in the areas of quality and productivity improvement. This is a "hands on" position and will be responsible for the shift workmanship with the following key responsibilities:

  • Provide training on fundamentals for manufacturing associates to improve workmanship and productivity.
  • Direct and schedule work force daily
  • Enforce all safety guidelines
  • Provide cross training to manufacturing associates to support manufacturing needs and improve throughput.
  • Identify opportunities for methods and documentation improvement and train manufacturing associates on new procedures.
  • Perform workmanship audits to verify training effectiveness and compliance to procedure.
  • Assist with projects related to scrap and rework related issues. Interface with manufacturing, quality, and engineering as required to ensure implementation of effective solutions.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as production schedule updates, and training documentation.
  • Adjust production schedule as required by change of circumstances to maximize throughput.
  • Train new employees and provide feedback to improve the quality and performance of existing employees.
  • Direct all employees on lot control and ensure all data is correctly entered.
  • Develop all employees to meet department efficiency standards for all operations.
  • Responsible for cross-training, productivity tracking, supply and inventory control.
  • Responsible to maintain/revise/correct data entry in Lot Control administration.
  • Conduct crossover meetings to brief shift on goals, quality issues and miscellaneous information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • The team leader is responsible for the quality of his/her team. They are responsible for assuring that operators comply with PEI's and SOP's. Lead will be expected to complete routine SOP/PEI quality audits.
