As a Senior Software Engineer on the Microsoft Rewards team, you will drive product growth by designing, implementing, and shipping consumer-facing features and high-performance services. This opportunity will allow you to work on large-scale, high-performance services, ship code that impacts consumers of multiple products, and work with a highly collaborative and fun team in a fast-learning environment. ResponsibilitiesPartners with appropriate stakeholders including Program Management and Design to determine user requirements for complex, end-to-end features.Provides hands-on technical leadership for architecture, design, code reviews, development, and quality assurance for scalable, production-quality services.Leads by example and mentors others to produce simple, extensible, and maintainable code with very few defects.Leverages deep subject-matter expertise of cross-product features to lead project plans, release plans, and work items.Holds accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers across products, working on-call to monitor and analyze services for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, and performance of our products.Fosters a culture of inclusivity and disciplined software engineering practices to deliver business value, guided by data.
