**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a visionary and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic Fabric Research & Development team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in guiding the seasonal direction of fabric development, with a specialized focus on innovative wash techniques. You'll be the bridge between design and production, ensuring that every fabric meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and aesthetic appeal. Your work will directly contribute to the creation of exceptional products that resonate with customers and uphold the company's commitment to excellence.

**What You'll Do**

* Collaborate closely with design teams to translate seasonal concepts into actionable fabric and wash development plans.

* Drive continuous research and development, introducing fresh ideas and innovative wash techniques to enhance product offerings.

* Partner with production and mill management teams to identify strategic sourcing opportunities and ensure cost-effective material acquisition.

* Manage and maintain our comprehensive fabric and wash library, serving as a vital resource for ongoing development.

* Facilitate rigorous testing protocols for all fabrics to guarantee product integrity, performance, and safety standards are met.

* Assist in the strategic review of pricing, value, and cost targets for core programs, ensuring alignment across production and global teams.

* Contribute to building trend concept boards, offering insights into material innovations and market directions.

* Oversee the accurate entry and tracking of selected fabrics within our fabric management systems.

**What You Bring**

Experience & Education:

* 5+ years of experience within the apparel industry.

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Technical Expertise:

* Deep expertise in raw materials and fabric construction.

* Comprehensive understanding of production processes and manufacturing.

* Proven knowledge of testing protocols, product integrity requirements, product cycle timelines, and garment construction.

Collaboration & Influence:

* Exceptional ability to partner effectively with designers and cross-functional teams.

* Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including the capacity to influence senior management.

* Experience building and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

* Adept at negotiation and building consensus across diverse functions.

Analytical & Communication Skills:

* Strong analytical capabilities to assess fabric performance, cost, and market trends.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex ideas clearly.
