Job Description:
This role will be a finance business partner to the sales team to develop exclusive finance solutions and pricing strategies along with risk adverse reviews to initiate contract negotiations.
Your role:
- Developing finance solutions and pricing strategy prior to the bid phase for our HTM/ Multi-vendor and Value Partnerships.
- Considering financials, deal structuring, business forecasting, risk review to assist with bid proposals.
- Using financial modeling and commercial risk management in analysis.
- Utilize a business calculation model.
- Drive digitalization and business model initiatives, including Monday.com implementation.
- Review deals with non-standard terms to ensure viability of discounts & gross margins.
- Leading protection of company assets, application of control procedures, and financial planning and reporting within stated guidelines and policies.
- Building positive and effective business relationships to achieve goals.
- Providing recommendations based on advanced root cause and alternative solution analysis.
- Driving profitable growth and transparency as integral part of the proposal team.
- Develop and present TCO models across, service and equipment for the entire Healthineers portfolio.
- Growing sales and financing programs for customer segments including financial analysis/deal modeling and deal strategy/structure.
- Owning commercial/contract activities, pricing, margin calculations.
- Guiding project teams both within and outside of areas of expertise; demonstrate ability to synthesize and process data from a variety of sources and develop single strategy/direction for the organization.
Your expertise:
- Understanding and staying abreast of current Value Partnerships and Multi-Vendor Medical Imaging market conditions and the competitive landscape.
- Most contracts/bids require an understanding of the entire Healthcare business including all associated pricing models. Individual IDN deals, which are being negotiated with financial, potential customer facing support from this position.
- Collaborating with sales to assist with development strategic account planning across all Business Areas of Healthineers. Strategic planning and development of proposals and the interplay between GPO, IDN, and IDN subnetworks is a key element in the scope of this role.
- Interacting with many organizational layers and company disciplines including: Senior Management, Strategic Corporate Account Executives, Field Sales, Business Management, Zone Management, *** Financial Services, Legal Services, and Accounting. Customer interaction spans from Director to C/VP-Level personnel from national IDNs and GPOs.
Required Skills, Education and Experience for this position:
- BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree.
- 5-10+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities as presented above.
- Advanced degree may be substituted for experience, where applicable.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments preferred.
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues preferred.
- Experience in Long Term Value Partnerships and/or Multi-Vendor market would be a plus.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex financial concepts including rate of return and depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense performance comparisons. Conforms to accounting guidelines.
Work Location & Travel
- Preferred Location: Ideally local to Cary, NC for occasional in-office presence.
- Remote Option: Open to remote candidates if highly qualified.
- Travel Requirement: Not required.
Required Experience & Skills
- Pricing and Quoting Experience - ideally in a commercial or contract setting.
- Accounting/Finance Background - strong understanding of financial principles.
- Strong Communication Skills - both written and verbal, for internal and external interactions.
- Excel Proficiency - must be experienced, not trainable on the job.
- Healthcare/MedTech Industry Experience - plus, but not required.
Tools & Systems
- Excel - critical for daily tasks.
- Monday.com - nice to have, not mandatory.
