PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

This role serves as the strategic product owner for the GROWMARK grain focused software solutions, overseeing product lifecycle management and driving value creation for U.S. and Canadian grain supply chain customers. Acts as a liaison between vendors, member companies, and internal teams, ensuring solutions are strategically aligned, integrated, and measurable business outcomes are delivered.

Focuses on relationship management, vendor partnerships, and customer engagement while maintaining a clear product roadmap and executing a strategy to optimize the user experience across assigned grain software solutions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned software vendors and partners, ensuring accountability on deliverables, support, and product evolution.

Facilitate ongoing feedback loops between vendors, member companies, and end users to refine product direction.

Build strong relationships with member companies and retail-level stakeholders to understand their workflows and challenges.

Own and maintain the assigned software roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and member company needs.

Collaborate with business leaders, IT, and vendors to prioritize features, enhancements, and integrations that deliver measurable value.

Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure products remain innovative and competitive.

Lead the planning and coordination of implementations, including setup, data migration, testing, and go-live activities.

Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and successful adoption of new releases and features.

Develop and maintain training plans, SOPs, and best practice documentation for each module in assigned products.

Drive portfolio governance to ensure that project management plans are in place, risks are managed, and timelines are met.

Act as the liaison between all stakeholders to ensure alignment on technology and process.

Maintain system documentation, reference guides, and version release notes for users.

Collect and analyze user feedback, business metrics, and system performance data to recommend and implement enhancements.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate resolution of defects or gaps in collaboration with vendors.

Stay attuned to regulatory, financial, and operational requirements impacting the grain supply chain.

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor's degree in information systems, accounting, or business, or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate applications working knowledge to provide computer software recommendations and leadership to Grain business areas.

Grain industry experience is preferred but not required.

Demonstrated relationship management experience.

Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

Demonstrated planning, organization, analytical, diagnostic, problem-solving, and project management skills

Proven team building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record and passport.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
