Revenue Cycle Support Manager

As a Project Manager, you will play a vital role in driving revenue cycle projects and workflow optimization during practice management transitions. Collaborating with various stakeholders, including Specialty Executive Leaders and Subject Matter Experts, you will manage comprehensive audits, develop educational resources, and execute targeted audits to enhance practice operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management:Lead and manage projects related to revenue cycle initiatives, ensuring alignment with McKesson's strategic goals. Oversee the development and execution of plans, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Multi-Specialty Revenue Cycle Leadership:Influence revenue cycle operations across multiple clinical specialties, including oncology, surgical services, and research. Adapt strategies to meet the unique workflows and payer requirements of each specialty.

  • Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with Specialty Executive Leaders and physician stakeholders to address needs, analyze metric trends, and drive revenue cycle initiatives. Present complex data in a clear, strategic manner to influence decision-making.

  • Audit and Analysis:Conduct comprehensive audits for patient-facing and back-office operations. Perform collectability analysis and identify root causes of denial trends to improve revenue cycle performance.

  • Educational Resource Development:Develop and maintain educational resources such as Revenue Cycle Newsletters, Specialty Playbooks, and Payer Specific Guidelines to support practice transitions and optimize operations.

  • Performance Monitoring:Partner with managers to build a formalized production monitoring program. Conduct dashboard reviews and ensure timely support engagement to maintain consistency and standardization.

  • Process Improvement:Lead workflow optimization and transformation efforts during practice management transitions, ensuring the adoption of best practices and standards. Support multi-specialty practice transitions and integrations.

Minimum Requirement

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

  • Tertiary education or equivalent experience.

Critical Skills

  • Experience with healthcare billing systems and revenue cycle operations.

  • Strong experience in project management, particularly in the healthcare or revenue cycle domain.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the full revenue cycle.

  • Skilled in presenting complex revenue cycle data and performance metrics to executive leadership and physician stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success in supporting multi-specialty practice transitions and adapting strategies to diverse clinical environments.

Additional Skills

  • Proven ability to identify and resolve inefficiencies across the revenue cycle continuum, optimizing both front-end and back-end processes.

  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to identifying root causes of revenue leakage and implementing sustainable solutions.

  • Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement experience is a plus.

  • Previous experience in educational resource development and audit implementation is preferred.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.     $95,700 - $159,500
