Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI Technolovies is hiring a motivated Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with experience in underwater inspections, commercial dive operations, and marine engineering projects to join our team! This opportunity is intended for Spring 2026 graduates, with the position starting in Summer 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

    Participate in marine engineering and diving projects, including tender and diver duties.
  • Assist with underwater inspections of various structures such as bridges, dams, piers, wharves, marinas, ports, bulkheads, and seawalls.
  • Conduct condition inspections and quality control inspections for construction projects.
  • Support structural design and analysis of marine structures.
  • Prepare technical reports related to inspections and design work.

Preferred Experience and Certifications:

  • Experience in underwater inspections, commercial dive operations, and marine engineering projects.
  • Structural engineering, design, analysis, and bridge condition inspection.
  • Inspections or design work related to bridges, waterfronts, and dams.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain in 1 year is required
  • Commercial Diving (ADCI) Certification is required
  • National Highway Institute (NHI) Bridge Inspection certification (preferred).
  • TWIC card (preferred).

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:
* 0-2 Years of experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program
* General knowledge of required design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit)
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Good communication and technical writing skills.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Education and/or Work Experience Preferred:
* Previous internships or work experience in the Engineering field.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
* Valid Driver's License
* Ability to maintain required certifications.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:
* Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
