Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA's core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is offering an internship within the Autonomous Technology Group (ATG) on the Strategy and Business Development team. The intern will assist in developing go-to-market strategies, managing external partnerships, and creating contractual frameworks. Additionally, the intern will help set up new projects, contributing to research, coordination, and documentation efforts. Ideal candidates are pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Strategy, Engineering, or related fields, and possess strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. This role provides valuable experience in the autonomous vehicle industry, opportunities to work with industry experts, and networking within DTNA and Daimler.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Assist in developing go-to-market strategies for autonomous technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with external partners to establish and maintain strategic relationships.
  • Aid in the creation and management of contractual agreements with partners.
  • Contribute to the planning and initiation of new projects, including research, coordination, and documentation.
  • Support the analysis of market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate strategy and project updates.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on project progress and outcomes.
  • Conduct research to identify potential new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Help in the development of business models and financial projections for new initiatives.
  • Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June)
  • Business Strategy: Understanding of business strategy principles.
  • Market Analysis: Ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscapes.
  • Partnership Management: Knowledge of managing external partnerships.
  • Project Management: Skills in planning, coordinating, and documenting projects.
  • Research: Proficiency in conducting research for new business opportunities.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation: Ability to prepare and deliver presentations and reports.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
