Inside the Role

Interns will gain knowledge and experience through exciting and real-life learning opportunities. Interns must work in accordance with DTNA's core values of passion, respect, integrity and discipline. Internship positions can be located at various DTNA locations across the US. We are looking for high performing and motivated individuals in various areas within DTNA organizations. DTNA internships begin each summer in May or June.

Interns in this role may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time position subject to manager evaluations and business availability.

As a member of the Mt Holly Logistics Control System implementation team, you will identify and plan implementation of improvements to logistics processes, including: enhancements to materials movement and storage, defining approaches and systems for lean inventory management, enhancements to central store material control and on-hand accuracy, and optimizing internal material transportation and delivery routes.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $29 per hour.

What You Drive at DTNA
  • Assist in the development and execution of improvement initiatives across different touchpoints in the logistics journey.
  • Contribute ideas and innovative solutions for optimizing operating unit experiences.
  • Utilize appropriate data analysis methods, tools, and reports to predict, prevent, and support the resolution of on-time delivery efficiency issues and roadblocks.
  • Support development of training and/or change management materials and activities to support new processes and procedures.
  • Assist in tracking KPIs and project metrics to assist in project performance evaluation and decision-making.
  • Lead and support efforts to foster an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture where everyone belongs.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher from an accredited college/university OR have recently graduated within 1 year of the position start date (May/June)
  • Pursuing a degree in Logistics Operations, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (Advanced preferred)
  • Experience with analytical tools preferred (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, ect)
  • Experience with Six Sigma Practices: Green or Black Belt preferred
  • Experience as a group or project lead preferred
  • Experience with or knowledge of lean manufacturing preferred
  • Strong focus on Continuous Improvement
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Creative mindset
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
