Performs imaging / therapeutic services and associated patient care with support of the Radiology Department mission to provide diagnostic information for the subsequent treatment of patients at WVU Medicine.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program. 2. Must possess current or temporary Radiography license as required by state board where services will be provided: MD: Radiographer License through Maryland Board of Physicians OH: Radiographer License through Ohio Department of Health PA: No state licensure required WV: Radiography License or Temporary Radiography License through West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board 3. Must be Nationally certified as defined by location where services will be provided: MD: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire OH: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire PA: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months of hire. WV: Registered Radiography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire. 4. Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire. 5. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
