Summary: The B-2 Data System and Security Support Team DevOps Engineer functions as part of an on-site team of contractor personnel supporting the USAF Integrated Functional Capability Branch, located in the B-2 Weapon System Support Center (WSSC) and provides DevOps Engineering support for Windows-based computers and Windows-based applications.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Automation & Scripting: Develops and maintains scripts (PowerShell, SQL, batch, etc.) to automate system administration tasks, data processing, and routine SharePoint functions.
- Infrastructure & Systems Support: Provides day-to-day administration of servers, databases, and enterprise collaboration platforms, including SharePoint. Ensures reliability, patching, and performance across environments.
- CI/CD & Deployment Support: Maintains and supports existing build/deployment pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins) to streamline updates and patches for applications and SharePoint solutions.
- SharePoint Administration: Configures and maintains SharePoint environments (site collections, permissions, workflows, lists/libraries). Assists with upgrades, migrations, and integration with SQL back-ends.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitors system health, logs, and application performance. Troubleshoots incidents across servers, SQL databases, and SharePoint services to maintain uptime.
- Collaboration & Compliance: Works closely with development and operations teams to support deployments and ensure compliance with established security and process standards.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Scripting: Strong experience with PowerShell and SQL scripting.
- SharePoint Administration: Hands-on experience managing SharePoint sites, permissions, workflows, and user support.
- System Administration: Background in Windows Server, IIS, and enterprise IT environments.
- Database Skills: SQL query writing, reporting, and database maintenance support.
- Automation: Ability to streamline manual tasks using scripts and existing DevOps tools.
- Communication: Ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide clear documentation and support.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with military personnel, government civilian staff and technical experts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Satisfy DODI 8570 requirements
- Must be a US Citizenship
- Active Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Eligible for TS Security Clearance.
- Bachelors degree in IT related discipline.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MSCE) certifications
- Programming knowledge: .NET, C#
- Working knowledge of USAF B-2 Program constructs and USAF Training and Readiness.
