| OverviewThe Operations Performance & Section Manager oversees Planning personnel and leads the coordination and evaluation of capital, operating, maintenance, and human resource budgets for electric and gas operating organizations. This role ensures that all operating organizations receive timely, accurate business and financial data to support informed analysis and decision-making. It includes monitoring operational performance through financial outcomes, productivity metrics, and process improvements. The manager provides strategic oversight in analyzing and reporting variances that impact both operational and financial results, offering recommendations to mitigate risks and improve performance. The role also plays a key part in regulatory processesparticularly rate case filingsand advises on system enhancements involving budgeting and work management interfaces. Additionally, it supports the evaluation and implementation of new technologies to boost operational efficiency and improve access to vital information. ResponsibilitiesCore Responsibilities 
 Plans, directs and controls the Operations Performance & Support Planning Staff in their work activities including scheduling, performance assessments, and analytical resolution of cost deviationsLead the development of the annual budget and five-year forecast for all operating organizations, with detailed focus on operating and capital expenditures.Establish and maintain a financial forecasting and monitoring system, including monthly variance analysis and reporting for leadership and operational teams.Coordinate monthly tracking, reporting, and planning activities to support cost control and operational efficiency.Prepare and present budget and capital data for electric and gas operations, including cost of service exhibits for rate case filings and regulatory testimony.Supervise staff and provide direction in the preparation of regulatory filings & audits, supporting schedules, and related documentation.Conduct and oversee special regulatory studies, analyzing cost elements and capital impacts, and responding to inquiries.Provide financial input on new systems and interfaces that affect budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.Develop and disseminate business analytics to enhance operational performance and productivity.Analyze operational performance and productivity systems to identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining safety and reliability.Manage and support staff development, including work assignments, training, performance management, and participation in labor negotiations and emergency operations.Contribute to policy development and emergency planning, lead special studies, and support storm response and emergency management activities.
