| The background investigation process may take up to 6 weeks depending upon the complexity of the applicant's background and position for which they've applied. Under the general direction of the Fleet Supervisor, members perform skilled mechanical and technical work related to the development, maintenance, and repair of light and medium duty vehicles and equipment. Technicians are required to exercise good judgment and individual initiative in handling routine work and special assignments. Work is reviewed through observation and results obtained.

 QUALIFICATIONS
 
 
 
 High School graduation or equivalent diploma from an institution accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or licensed as a degree granting institution by the Commission for Independent Education Two (2) years' work experience in the maintenance and repair of automotive or other mechanical equipmentASE Certifications in the following areas required:
